Taste of the Town 2017

Taste of the Town is the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library's premier annual event with a speakeasy theme. It happens Saturday, April 29 at the Towson Branch.

Get a taste of Baltimore County and the surrounding area by sampling food and drink from local restaurants, caterers, wineries and breweries, enjoy live music, play games and bid on an exciting and eclectic assortment of items in a silent auction. 2016's silent auction featured items worth over $16,000.

This year's honorary host is David White, one of the world’s leading wine writers. The author of But First, Champagne: A Modern Guide to the World’s Favorite Wine, David is a contributor to Grape Collective and the founder and editor of Terroirist.com, an award winning wine blog. His writing has appeared in dozens of publications, including The World of Fine Wine, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and Punch. He has appeared on a number of TV and radio programs, including NPR’s All Things Considered.

All proceeds support the Foundation's mission to provide additional resources to enrich the library’s commitment to empower the citizens of Baltimore County to explore, learn, create and connect.
