![]() Keynote author Warren Adler spoke about his love for libraries, his current projects, and how he gets his ideas for books by listening to what people have to say. Mr. Adler notes that each one of us has a story to tell. Kwame Alexander read some of his poetry and local authors Allegra Bennett, John Eisenberg, and Jerdine Nolen were on hand to share their thoughts and sign their books. Michael Waller, Publisher and CEO of The Baltimore Sun, was recognized as the first recipient of the Foundation's Library Hero Award. Thank You! The Novel Night Gala raised $40,000 to help fund a mobile library to visit preschoolers and their caregivers, especially in neighborhoods where reading scores are among the lowest in the area.
