The Big Give helps the Foundation continue its vital support of the library after the cancellation of our annual fundraising gala for the third year in a row. In the last year alone, the Foundation funded the launch of the Social Worker in the Library program and fully funded the Mobile Library Law Center, but our work is far from finished. We want to hire more social workers and purchase a brand-new STREAM vehicle for our Youth and Family Engagement’s mobile outreach, in addition to our continued support of systemwide projects and programs like Storyville, Summer Reading Challenge and Battle of the Books.
